How is it possible that it’s almost February?! Where have the months gone? We’ve had such a busy winter already, and it’s only going to get even busier!
On top of the many activities and birthday parties that Avery has on the calender, we also have Dave’s birthday! Oh, and I’ll be heading south for a few days for the runDisney Princess Half Marathon Weekend (I’m planning to run the 5k and 10k) And then there is this little thing called Valentine’s Day! SO BUSY!!
Since I’ll be gone for “so long” (it’s only 4 and a half days, but it seems like an eternity to me, since it’s the first time I’ve left Avery for more than an overnight) I feel the need to “make it up” to my family. I’ll be missing Dave’s actual birthday, so that means Valentine’s day is even more important this year! I need to find ways to make the day extra special for our little family!
I’ve mentioned before that I LOVE holidays. Love ’em! Every single one of them! I love decorating, festive crafts, and recipes! Valentine’s Day is no exception!
With all the snow we got today, I thought I’d start a bit early, and make some yummy Raspberry White Hot Chocolate to warm us up! Because, what is better than hot chocolate during the biggest snow storm of the year? That’s right, NOTHING! It’s so simple, and kids and adults will love it!
Valentine’s Day Raspberry White Hot Chocolate
- 1 cup Milk
- 1/4 cup white chocolate chips or shaved white chocolate
- 1 teaspoon Raspberry Extract
- Red food coloring
- Whipped cream and sprinkles to garnish
- In a small saucepan, stir together milk, white chocolate and raspberry extract. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring until all chocolate is melted. Remove from heat and pour into a mug. Top with whipped cream and sprinkles.
- You can double, triple, even quadruple the recipe to fit your needs!
The results were delicious and so cute! They’d be perfect for a Valentine’s Day party, or a special celebration at home! (Or even for a baby or bridal shower, or birthday party!) I let ours cool down quite a bit so that it wasn’t too hot for Avery. It was just as delicious as a cooler, raspberry white chocolate milk! As you can see, she LOVED it!
And asked for more! While I do not condone the dropping of glass milk bottles on the living room floor, I thought this photo capture was pretty funny (and don’t worry, we have a rug, and no glasses were broken!) Do you have any fun recipe ideas for Valentine’s Day? Leave your link in the comments!
It looks so good! I have to know if Avery turned and walked out of the room after she dropped the milk, it wouldn’t surprise me if she did.
Haha Heather, sadly, she didn’t (I can picture her doing it as well lol) she dropped it and said “I need more!”
That looks amazing and I love how pretty you served it, presentation makes all the difference. I pinned to make for my husband this year!
These look amazing – I am seriously drooling!
