Blogger Bash 2014 Was a Blast!

PHEW!  what a conference!  I am still recovering!! I met so many fabulous women (and some awesome men, too!) spoke with so many fantastic brands, and made lots of great connections!

Now that all the fun is over, it’s time to really buckle down and get to work on cultivating these relationships!

But first, let me tell you a little bit more about Blogger Bash!

A few years ago I attended a blog conference, my first, in New York City. It was not what I expected, and it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. I was afraid to drop big bucks again and go to another conference, so I didn’t.  I didn’t go to any conferences for two years. Then I heard that some of my favorite bloggers, Joey Fortman, Stephanie GloverCharlene DeLoach along with Laurie Schacht, Marissa DiBartolo, and Ali Mierzejewski were hosting a new and different type of blog conference, and that it would be nearby, in NYC. I knew I didn’t want to miss this one! There would be over 200 brands there, and I wanted to talk to each and every one of them!

I was also thrilled to find that so many of my fellow Rhody Bloggers would be attending as well as some friends in the blog community that I had not yet had the pleasure of meeting in real life!

The first night of the conference was The Big Toy Book‘s Sweet Suite. I had attended this event back in 2012 but this years event blew the other one out of the water!!

ss3I had a chance to play dress up with Just Pretend Kids and check out what is new from Disney’s Palace Pets (A favorite of Avery’s–she calls them “Princess Pups”

I saw some new and amazing products from Hexbug, enjoyed cupcakes and games with the Skylanders Trap Team and Activision and see some really neat  Safe Start electric scooters for younger kids!ss2

I visited with old friends the care Bears, and reminisced about Puppy Surprise (remember them?! Well, they are BACK!) while seeing a few of my daughter’s new favorites, Doc McStuffins and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse!

I also got to meet with brands like Creativity for Kids, Lego, Disney Infinity, Crayola, VtechGoldieBlox, Fisher PriceKurio, little tikes Boogie Board, KidzBopFat Brain Toys, Fashion Angels, and LeapFrog!ss4

The next day we enjoyed breakfast sponsored by LEGO Batman, and then went on to Speed Dating with some incredible brands! I loved learning more about

Then it was time for Baby Palooza with Joovy, Delta Children, Britax, Boon,  and more!

Then cam e the best part!  It was time to hear from the incredible Anne Geddes. Before Anne took the stage, they announced the winners of the contest (remember that post I wrote: HERE) Well, I heard them calling out names and figured I was not one of the winners. Then I heard “Sarah Boo..Bouv…” Wait WHAT?!?!  Is she saying my name?!  Me?!?  “Uh!  YES!! That’s ME!!!”  I had won!  I won the grand prize!!  I was totally shocked and shaking and mumbled a stupid thing about how if Joey was telling me I had won she could pronounce my name however she wanted! I WON!  I am still so excited, and cannot wait to get my prize pack (which I will share with all of you when it arrives)

Then, while I was still shaking, Anne Geddes appeared in the room, flanked by her husband, and daughter. She spoke, and answered questions and was just as wonderful and insightful as I had thought she’d be! Then I had the chance to meet her!!  She was so sweet, as was her daughter!! She signed my book (which she generously gifted to everyone in attendance!!) and her daughter joyfully congratulated me on my win! ss6

Thank you thank you thank you thank you to the Blogger Bash folks, and Anne Geddes for this wonderful contest and prize!!  I’m still on cloud nine over it!

Before I close out this post, I also want to mention the amazing company that kept me hydrated during the entire event. Rooibee Red Tea!! Not only is the product amazing (delicious, naturally caffeine-free, organic, brewed in the USA from South African Rooibos) but the people who run and work for the company are amazing! Everyone I spoke with from Rooibee Red Tea was kind, and gracious!!  I need to place an order for this tea ASAP and I’m pushing a local store here in RI to carry this great product!!

There is so much more to say about Blogger Bash. So many more events, so many more brands to thank, so many memories, but I think this is enough for one blog post!!!

Thank you again to the Blogger Bash Hosts and sponsors!  It was a great experience!

Thanks for sharing this post with us. I am little bit interested to get more information about Blogger Bash. I like to share my opinion on Blogger Bash. Vectrix Maxi-Scooter VECTRIX is the acronym for: Vehicle, Electronic, Commuter, Transformation, Revolution, Innovation, X factor, and was started by a number of engineers. The big news here is the nickel metal hydride battery, because with any electric vehicle, it’s only as good as the battery inside. The V1 model ($11,000) is currently available in a

Thanks for sharing this post. I am very interested in this topic. Brochure design is not a simple matter however it will get outcomes pretty rapidly. Typically individuals incorporate quite a lot of fascinating details and photos into the brochure so that individuals can bear in mind it without end. Photos are particularly good in the event that they’re shiny or noticeable in another means that makes them stand out from the images discovered on different brochure design agency in Qatar.
