My mother shared THIS on my facebook page last week.
She said “I expect these for turkey day.”
Thanksgiving would be RUINED if I didn’t make these!!!!
So I did.
Because nobody wants to be responsible for RUINING a holiday!
I wanted to change them up a bit. Mostly because I HATE candy corn.
So here’s what you need:
- sandwich cookies
- chocolate covered pretzels
- peanut butter cups
- malted milk ball candy
- chocolate chips (I used pumpkin spice ones because they were orange!)
- red gel icing
- candy eyes
Step 1: Lay out your pretzels on wax paper. You’ll need two pretzels for each turkey. One whole, and one cut in half.
Step 2: Melt your chocolate chips, and spoon onto the pretzels. Let cool. Step 3: Open up one cookie, and gently press the pretzels onto the creme filling. (You may want to put some frosting in there to help it stay together)
Step 5: Pipe frosting on to the turkey’s face and add eyes and beak.
Step 6: Add the wattle with red gel icing. And you’re done!!! Now set them out and enjoy all the compliments from your friends and family!
Happy Thanksgiving, Friends!!
