Thanksgiving Cookie Turkeys

Thanksgiving Cookie TurkeysAHHH!  Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!! Were you told to just “Bring whatever!”  and have no idea what you should make? Looking for something easy, but still impressive?  How about these cookie turkeys?!

My mother shared THIS on my facebook page last week.

Turkey Day Treat

She said “I expect these for turkey day.”

And then my aunt and cousin started pressuring me….Thanksgiving pressure

Thanksgiving would be RUINED if I didn’t make these!!!!

So I did.

Because nobody wants to be responsible for RUINING a holiday!

I wanted to change them up a bit. Mostly because I HATE candy corn. Cookie Turkey Ingredients

So here’s what you need:

  • sandwich cookies
  • chocolate covered pretzels
  • peanut butter cups
  • malted milk ball candy
  • chocolate chips (I used pumpkin spice ones because they were orange!)
  • frosting
  • red gel icing
  • candy eyes

Chocolate Pretzel Turkey Wings

Step 1: Lay out your pretzels on wax paper. You’ll need two pretzels for each turkey. One whole, and one cut in half.

Step 2: Melt your chocolate chips, and spoon onto the pretzels. Let cool. Chocolate Turkey dessertStep 3: Open up one cookie, and gently press the pretzels onto the creme filling.  (You may want to put some frosting in there to help it stay together)

Step 4: Pipe frosting onto cookie, and stick the pb cup and malted milk ball on to create the body and head. constructing chocolate Thanksgiving Turkey

Step 5: Pipe frosting on to the turkey’s face and add eyes and beak.
