In writing my post the other day, I came to the realization that none of my friends in RI knew me Pre-Avery. They didn’t get to know the crazy, silly, funny, weird, sometimes wild, non-mom. I thought I’d take a moment to show you…..
I went to college. Like, a whole lot of college. I collected degrees because I didn’t (and still don’t) have a clue what I wanted to be when I grew up. One of these schools was the best experience of my life, one was the worst.
And I worked. I worked a lot. I worked at a Bed & Breakfast. I worked retail (A tiny tiny toy store, Target, Christmas Tree Shop (for a day), more Target, for an advertising agency as a designer, as a marketing manager for a horrible company, Sports Authority, Babies R Us, Sports Authority again, as a Massage Therapist at a chiropractors office, and then at a terrible day spa, Sports Authority again, Expressions corporate.
And I was on the board of the local chapter of a non profit.
Oh, and I also worked at a flower shop.
I made this face in a whole lot of pictures.
and this face. And my hair was pink (and then purple, and then blue and then pink again) I played football. and I ran, and bought tons of sneakers, and climbed trees, and played golf (“real” and miniature)
OK, so that last part wasn’t true, but everything else is.
There you go….a little insight in to Sarah Before Avery.
