**Disclosure-I was given free passes for our family to experience and enjoy Legoland Florida. I was not asked to write a review. All opinions are my own**
Well, it’s taken me forever and a day to get this post up, but here it is!
Last October our family headed down to Orlando to check out the world outside the Disney walls! We are Disney Fanatics but, I also knew that the Orlando area had so much more to offer and I wanted to experience some of it.
One of the places we visited was LEGOLAND Florida! We knew going in that Avery was a bit young, and much too small for most of the rides and attractions, but we thought it would be fun nonetheless.
Upon walking through the gates we saw the great signage and maps, guiding guests through the park. We noted the first aid station (just in case) as well as lockers, stroller rentals and lots of shops and dining options!
We didn’t get very far into the park before we had to stop and free Avery from her stroller. They. Had. BUBBLES!!!!!
We let Avery play in the bubbles for awhile until she was knocked over and nearly trampled by some older, larger boys. Then we decided it was time to move on!
Off to the Avery’s favorite ride (and one of only two she was tall enough to ride!) The Grand Carousel!
The carousel was very cute, and Avery rode it many times! While we went on a slower day, and didn’t encounter any lines, I thought it was great that they offered supervised play stations where the kids could play while mom and dad waited in line!
Next we made our way to Miniland USA. An area filled with replicas of great locations in America!
It was amazing! I loved Washington, DC and Vegas. Dave was totally in love with the replica of Daytona International Speedway. Of course.
Standing out in Miniland it was HOT! This area of the park has absolutely no shade, so we really didn’t stay out there long (It was unseasonably hot and humid!) So we decided to take the time to check out the Brick-or-Treat trail!
Brick-or-Treat comes to LEGOLAND Florida every Saturday and Sunday in October. The event features themed treat stations with candy, snacks and a few surprises along the way.
It was VERY cute, and Avery had a great time!
Next we headed out to explore the rest of the park…
Avery was bummed to discover that she wasn’t tall enough to ride anything other than the carousel and the Island In The Sky. Like I said, we knew this going in, but if you are planning a trip, make sure you look at the height requirements ahead of time. I’d hate for a family to go, all excited, only to discover that their child isn’t tall enough to ride many of the rides. You can find the height requirements HERE
Of course there were more things to see and do! So we ventured over to Pirates’ Cove for the Battle of Blackbeard’s Bounty water stunt and ski show!
Avery LOVED it! We saw some incredible stunts and some impressive…crashes. It was nice to sit in the shade for a bit, and we got in a few laughs!
Next we headed over to explore Cyprus Gardens! I had visited here as a child, but didn’t remember it.
The historical gardens and trails were beautiful. And the cyprus and giant Banyan tree? INCREDIBLE! We took our time exploring and relaxing. I couldn’t believe we were still in the same park. When you walk through the entrance to Cyprus Gardens you truly feel transported to another world.
At this point we were all pretty tired, and it was close to park closing, but I had wanted to visit the Baby Care Center and the toddler room before we left.
The toddler room was great! Lots of activities and AIR CONDITIONING!! Dave and I lounged in the bean bag chairs while Avery built towers of giant legos. We were the only people in there and enjoyed the quiet time!
The Baby Care Center was also great! It provides private nursing stations, rocking chairs, microwaves, bottle warmers, high chairs, changing stations and more. It was nice, quiet and very clean!
We saw the construction of the DUPLO Valley play area Opening at the end of the month! (May 23rd to be exact!)

New attractions coming to DUPLO Valley include a train, a mini tractor ride, and a water play area. The central feature will be the DUPLO Train where toddlers can board a train on their own or with their parents to explore countryside-themed scenery passing through farms, fishing holes and campgrounds. Just across the way, toddlers can jump on a tractor just their size and help the farmers plow the cornfields and hunt for missing farm animals. For those looking to cool off, the new splash and play area will be refreshingly fun with intermittent water spouts and interactive water elements set among larger than life farm animals with a soft deck for safety.
It will definitely be a fun spot for all the younger park visitors!
Our family really enjoyed our day at LEGOLAND Florida. I’d definitely visit again when Avery is tall enough to ride everything.
Our family’s 10 Tips for LEGOLAND Florida:
- Check out the park map and height requirements in advance.
- Be prepared for the weather! Central Florida is known for it’s sudden rainstorms (often in the afternoon) Bring packable rain gear/ponchos. (Legoland does not offer rainchecks!) Bring lots of sunscreen for those sunny days! There are some areas of the park that have little to no shade!
- Don’t miss Cyprus Gardens! If the park is crowded on the day of your visit, you’ll enjoy the quiet of the trails.
- Water!! Pack it with you!!
- Bring your minifigs! You can trade with park employees! (Minifigs must be in complete form)
- Try Granny’s Apple Fries! They are so, so good!!
- Bring your bathing suits! LEGOLAND has a pretty cool water park, but it does require separate admission. (Open seasonally)
- Check out the Legoland website for special events and combo tickets and discounts!
- Take the shuttle! If you’re staying in Orlando and don’t have a car (or prefer not to drive!), you can take the shuttle from the Orlando Premium Outlets. The price is $5 round trip, and reservations are required.
- Plan your day in advance! It might be a good idea to hit up the rides first thing, that way if it rains in the afternoon you can visit the indoor attractions and you won’t have missed out on the “Must See” rides on your list!
LEGOLAND Florida is located at One LEGOLAND Way, Winter Haven Florida 33884, just 45 minutes from the Orlando theme parks or downtown Tampa.

The height issue is why we aren’t going to LegoLand CA this summer, BUT I cannot wait to go when she is older- looks like so much fun!!!

It really is such a neat park! Especially for lego fanatics haha But the lack of rides for young kids, and LP is tough.
I credit YOU for our own trip to LEGOLAND and your post reminds me that mine is not up either! What a great place that the kids haven’t stopped talking about since November. They can’t wait to go back, and I thought nothing would ever top that other, magical place. 😉

This truly does look like a place that is amazing to wander around and just observe all of the Lego creations. Love your Top 10 list and will be sharing with friends that plan to go.

There are numerous cases handled by personal injury lawyers.
In fact, Social Security benefits can play a key role in helping those that have become disabled for a number of reasons.

unfair dismissal, demotion or any other punishment, then he or she is clearly violating rules on Employment Non-Discrimination Act.
