Last week I had the chance to check out the Fashion Rocks event at Macy’s in Providence Place Mall. The event was hosted by the always fabulous reality star and stylist Courtney Kerr and dating expert Neely Steinberg. Upon hearing that they would both be there I knew we were in for really fun night of fashion and dating advice!
Macy’s Fashion Rocks Event at Providence Place Mall
The DJ got the even started and we were all ready to check out the rockin’ fall looks that Courtney had put together! When Courtney and Neely took the stage the room exploded. Those ladies have many super fans in the Providence area and it was fun to feel the electricity and excitement!
The outfits were all styled for the perfect first date, but were perfect for any day of the week. I really loved the denim and leather styles and need to get my hands on a new leather jacket for fall. Specifically the one that Courtney was wearing for the event!
Did you know that florals aren’t just for Spring and Summer? I never thought about florals for fall but these styles really opened my eyes to the idea! I absolutely loved the floral looks and want to add a few of them to my closet! Courtney told us that the military vest is a “must have” for fall. You can dress it up or go casual. Avery already knew that. (Who knew I would be raising a mini-fashionista?)
They also featured some super cute outerwear looks. That navy and white vest? I LOVE it and I NEED it!
Cobalt blue is a really great color this season and this dress was one of my favorite looks from the show. It had such beautiful sparkle and was adorable paired with the little blue backpack.
Oh, and the shoes? My dear lord, the shoes!! Of course I can’t wear any of these other than the slip-ons, but they are all gorgeous and fun! Courtney suggesting having that one pair of really fun shoes that can give any outfit that “wow” factor (like the top left, multi-colored ones)
After the runway show we had a fun Q&A session about all things fashion and dating. We learned a lot and had a ton of laughs.
After the Q&A attendees were invited to have mini make overs by Clinique, hors d’oeuvres and some really fabulous temporary tattoos!
I had a great time at the event and learned a lot about what is “IN” for Fall! Now it’s time to go shopping!
