Polynesian BBQ Sauce

A tangy sauce made with pineapple and mandarin oranges, to be used on burgers, pulled pork, as a dipping sauce for chicken or wherever else you'd use barbecue sauce!
Ingredients
  • ¾ cups apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup pineapple juice
  • ½ cup crushed pineapple (un-strained)
  • 6oz can tomato paste
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 4 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup mandarin oranges (un-strained)
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and stir until thickened.
  3. Let simmer for 20 minutes.
  4. Let cool, and refrigerate.

Makes about a cup and a half of sauce
