*I am an Edaville blogger. I have received tickets in exchange for this post. As always, all opinions are my own!*
Yesterday Avery and I had the honor of riding the rails with Thomas the Tank Engine (Or, Thomas the Trank, as Avery calls him) We visited Edaville, USA for the first time for Day Out with Thomas and had a wonderful time!
As soon as we entered the park Avery spotted the carousel, so of course we took a ride, then we continued on!
Since we arrived a little after our normal lunch time, Avery was hungry!! “I eat food, mommy? PLEASE?!” We grabbed a hotdog, fries and milk (and an iced tea for mommy!) at KC’s Café. We were excited to discover that there was live entertainment outside in the tent, and we took our food out there to enjoy the music and a bit of comedy from Captain Dan! The weather was PERFECT and there was a nice breeze coming in, our view of the pond was also lovely!
Also in the tent was a Thomas tattoo station! Avery is not one to pass up a chance to get a tattoo, so of course we stopped over for one! After lunch we explored everything the park had to offer. We rode Jumbo the Elephant a handful of times, and then went inside the Indoor play area to check it out!
We watched a little Thomas, played with the train tables, and checked out the gift shop. Avery absolutely loved the big ball pit and I had trouble getting her to leave, but at that point it was time for our Train ride!!
We hurried over to board the train, and Avery was “SO ESSITED” to ride “Thomas the Trank!”
We climbed aboard, and then walked from the engine, to the caboose because Avery had a hard time choosing a seat!We finally settled on one near the caboose, and had the whole car to ourselves!!!
The conductor came and punched our tickets and gave Avery her own Jr Engineer Certificate!
The ride (approximately 20 minutes) took as all around the park, and Avery and I had a blast! Until she realized it was almost over…Then the sad, pouty face came out!
After our ride we got to meet Thomas and take some photos with him! I was so impressed with the train! His eyes and mouth move!! He was so cute! Avery agreed, but was still a bit shy around such a HUGE celebrity (literally and figuratively)
We had such a great time and can’t wait to visit Edaville again this weekend for the Grand Opening of Dinoland!
Dinoland offers children and adults a chance to travel through the wooded footpath and witness over 20 life-sized dinosaurs moving and roaring in an outdoor environment. It is included in your park admission and is open regular park hours until October.
