Where the Fairies Live

This weekend we had the joy of visiting The Roger Williams Park Botanical Center for their Fairy Garden Day!  The event was advertised as “a Magical journey in the warmth of the Botanical Center for a day of fairies and fun!”  With make your own fairy gardens, Storytelling and even a Scavenger Hunt.

We couldn’t miss this!!  Avery is our little fairy (her name actually means “Elf Counselor”  or “Elf Ruler” ) and I absolutely love the whole idea of “Fairy Gardens” When Avery is a bit older, I think we’ll create our own fairy garden!  It’s such a fun way to nurture creativity, imagination and storytelling as well as a love and respect for the outdoors!

Of course, when we arrived my nice camera decided to fail (Was it the goblins??) so I couldn’t get as many interesting photos as I’d hoped, but here are a few that I was able to capture with my cell phone (and edit to make them a bit more whimsical!)
